Content, Craft:

Today was back to the grind. A full day of classes as well as essay presentations. The title of my essay 'Partial Objectivity in Feminism: A Study of Nudes'. I wont bore you with the actual essay. We ran out of time this week during class so I do my presentation next week.

Ive been editing the portraits of the Bryson Family that I had taken on Saturday. This is a portrait of Perin.
Its nice to get back into my work. It will also be good when I get to sleep in tomorrow.. the first time in a while.
Ive had a lot on my mind today... . so I'll make this one shorter than usual.

Happy Tuesday

SPAO Open House, Wakefield, Montreal

The SPAO open house was on the 6th, and it was a packed house. The graduating class did an homage to Irving Penn who died recently. We all did pieces in our own styles that paid a tribute to his work.

It was a good weekend. Tim came from Calgary to see the show and visit. So everything was jam packed with traveling to Montreal and Wakefield.
*yellow shoe/tim portrait in Wakefield*
With all the shooting in film.. I think I may have nudged him.. even if only a little towards film again. *welcome back to the dark side*

This past weekend was a blast as well I shot the Bryson family on Saturday and also was the official photographer for the Ottawa Timeraiser this year!

After that it was back to work and to class.. I was writing an essay most of this week in my free time and eating/making apple crisp at home.
Plus the christmas decorations are up!
Hope everyones well!

4 shoots in 4 days:

I've been pretty busy. The school is getting ready for the SPAO open house. The graduate year is doing an homage to Irving Penn after hearing that he had recently passed away.
After shooting 3 shoots in one weekend I did another shoot with my friend Dominique as well. So much editing but I am so happy on set.

The Open house is on Nov 6th at the School of photographic Arts:Ottawa doors open at 4pm.

Hope to see you there!

Country Girl:
What do you do in the middle of rural Alberta on a monday morning? I don't know what you would do but I had fun with Mo taking her portrait.  I was also lucky enough to take some photos of some dresses made by Calgary Designer Stephanie Richmond. *this isn't one of her dresses.. but they are amazing. I have just five more weeks of living the simple life out here in the west before heading back to Ottawa to resume my last year at SPAO.
To be honest getting a little anxious to get back.
Hope everyone had an amazing weekend.

Reduce Reuse Recycle:

How many ways can reuse a lululemon bag.. lol
I decided to enter a little contest at work.. take a photo of a reused bag.
And what would I normally do... hrm... lets think?

You can also use worn out bags to transfer plants and trees.

Hope everyone had a good weekend.
